The Bournville Society Founded 1983
The Bournville Society aims to promote an interest in the local environment past, present and future. They hold a programme of talks by guest speakers throughout the year, covering a wide variety of topics both historical and otherwise.
They also organize a coach outing to a place of interest in June.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday or the month in the Dame Elizabeth Hall, Firbank Close off Oak Tree Lane, Bournville at 7.30pm unless otherwise stated.
Annual Membership £5 non-members £1 per meeting. Everyone welcome!

Northfield Checkmates provides excellent facilities for everyone who wants to play a game of chess, from absolute beginners to grand masters (none at present!). They meet twice per week; at Rosefield Nursing Home (55 Maryland Drive, Northfield) between 7pm and 9pm on Tuesday evenings and also at Shenley Community Centre (330 Meadow Green Road, Selly Oak) between 1 pm and 3 pm every Wednesday afternoon.

The Orchard Learning Resources Centre (on the Westhill Site) is a branch of the Birmingham University Library. University library users may access most services from this branch.
